What we do

We advise on the appropriate available technology to suit your property and your power requirements. We can deliver a package (using products manufactured in England and Europe), that will contain everything you need to start generating renewable energy from the sun, including solar tracking systems, ground screws to attach them, panels, inverters, solar diverters to heat your immersion tank and battery storage. We can also advise on where to site them, distances between multiple systems, and advice regarding assembly. We frequently meet potential clients to show them one of the various systems installed around England and Wales. In the UK, we have systems in 24 counties including Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, County Durham, Denbighshire, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Lancashire, Monmouthshire, Norfolk, Shropshire, Somerset, South Yorkshire, Surrey, Suffolk, Teesside, Warwickshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. New systems are being installed all the time - we have more being installed in Kent (a micro grid of 6), another in Shropshire, and 2 newly commissioned in November in Gloucestershire, and our first is on its way to Orkney which will be up and running by Christmas. We also have systems installed in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and in 2 states in the USA. Click here to see our quick presentation about Heliomotion solar trackers.
Sustainability
We aim to be as sustainable as possible. Our systems are designed to last for up to 30 years. You will find when we deliver (by electric vehicle when possible) that we do not use any more packaging than is absolutely necessary. We wrap the steel in blankets, which will be removed once safely delivered, and taken away with the transport. We use salvaged/recycled cardboard boxes for packaging all the micro components, and recycled and recyclable bags to pack the smaller components for accurate counting and to prevent them going missing. We are looking at low carbon production of steel and aluminium, and will be adapting our processes whenever we can to lower our fossil fuel involvement. We hope to become a B Corp in the future.

Who we are

Melissa Briggs has been working with the original inventors/manufacturers of the Heliomotion Solar Tracking systems since 2018, developing marketing awareness and waiting for the time when people really start to care more about their environment and the planet. That time has arrived. Covid, the energy crisis, Sir David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg have made an impression on the world, and people are now thinking about living in a more sustainable way and looking for solutions. The explosive growth in the EV market is evidence of this awareness. However, increased public awareness has not translated into government policy or equivalent growth in the domestic market place - yet. In Autumn of 2023, less than 6% of UK homes have any form of solar energy installed. Demand for renewable energy has just started to rise dramatically since recent energy price increases have resulted from unprecedented world events partly driven by the invasion of Ukraine and the rise in global climate disasters including massive floods in Pakistan and widespread wild fires in Europe, Canada and the USA..
Melissa (honey bee in Greek!) is very hands on: she carries out the site surveys, and is happy to roll up her sleeves and help with a system installation. Using her in depth knowledge of solar tracking systems and related technologies, she handles global sales, marketing, (including the website and branding design,) our social media and company finances. She carries out multiple speaking engagements at workshops and climate events. She was awarded the PEA award for energy in late 2020 (beating Elon Musk) and also a Green Hero Award. In November 2022 she was featured in My Green Pod magazine, the COP 27 edition, as a leader and climate hero. It is the right time for her company, Bee Solar Technology Ltd., to make it easier for more households to install proven renewable energy systems and start creating their own power. The company took over the responsibility for producing Heliomotion systems from the previous Swedish manufacturer in 2022. The control boards continue to be supplied by the original Finnish developers.
Melissa is also involved in the growth of the EV market and runs the MG EV Owners Club, loves her paddle boarding adventures, e-bike and growing things in her colourful garden.
John McLellan is heavily involved in our sales process, managing our systems and driving business development as we expand. He has many years of IT and project management experience. He is likely to be the first person you will speak to when you call us. He is also very happy to roll his sleeves up and help with checking, packing and loading deliveries when required.
We are in discussions with potential partners in the USA, Africa and Canada to enable us to produce components locally to reduce transport and lead times. We already have several systems up and running in the USA - in Texas and Virginia.
Yvon Dignon represents us and is based in Cambridgeshire. She has an admin background in the education and agricultural sectors. An enthusiastic researcher of sustainability and renewable technologies, especially solar.
We have technical support from the highly experienced solar and electrical engineers who originally invented the system on the Baltic island of Äland We continue to work with them to improve the systems and add more functionality. We are building an in house assembly and test team and expanding our accredited list of installers.
Data protection policy & privacy statement: we only hold a customer's name, address and email address in order to provide our products and services, for quoting, ordering and delivery purposes. We keep this personal data on computerised records and take care to store this information securely.
